Aqua Attraction "Aquarius" Design Concept

This project represents a water attraction designed as a single-chamber cylindrical aquarium with a water slide inside. The construction is executed in a high-tech style using glass and steel. 

The total height of the structure is 11.8 meters, with the glass walls of the aquarium reaching 8 meters in height. The cylinder is assembled from 12 acrylic sections, each 18 centimeters thick, connected using a technology developed by ICM specialists. 

The unique aspect of the technology is that the transparent cylinders of enormous diameter and height are created without visible seams. The cylinder holds approximately 500,000 liters of water.
Inside the cylinder is a standard enclosed water slide (type 3). The diameter of the tube is 80 centimeters. The tube is completely watertight, made of semi-transparent fiberglass, ensuring structural lightness and fewer supporting elements. 

According to the state standards, the slide structure eliminates the possibility of users getting stuck. The length of the slide track is 25 meters, with a height of 8.5 meters and an average slope of 11%. 

The water volume supplied to the slide's starting zone is 130 cubic meters per hour, supplied through a support structure located in the center of the building. The slide descent speed is 5-6 meters per second.

Pumps, filters, and thermostats are located inside the attraction. Thanks to the filtration system located at the base of the structure, all the water mass in the aquarium passes through the filters in less than 1 hour.

Lighting is installed in the upper and lower parts of the aquarium using plastic underwater spotlights. The power supply voltage is 12 volts. Handrails and curbs are made of steel and impact-resistant transparent blue fiberglass.

Calculations of the weight loads and characteristics of the components of the slide were not performed.

The aquarium walls are intended to be cleaned by professional divers. A special door is provided for their descent into the water, located at the starting zone of the slide.
